As a biography, Sohrab Mirza was born in 1985 so his age is 23. He resides in Hyderabad and is from the family of an Iranian businessman Samad Seth, who set up a chain of restaurants ‘Universal Bakers’ in the city. Mr. Seth was a caterer to Prince Azam Jah in his early years and Sohrab’s mother is from the royal family, Shaheda Begum.

Sohrab attended St. Mary’s College and graduated with a degree in Commerce. He is set to pursue MBA in Britain and will most probably, join the family business of catering and real estate.

Sania, who is playing in the on-going French Open tournament, has not yet commented on her engagement.

The life size sculptures include a buffalo, a grizzly bear and suited businessmen suspended in gymnastic poses. The pip-squeak of peripherals has come a long way since 1964 when the first mouse - made of wood - crawled across our desktops and into our hearts. From those humble beginnings, mice have bred like, well, mice! Here are 20 of the most noteworthy, from extra cheesy to the cat’s meow.

The Computer Mouse: Patient Zero

Though it may look somewhat primitive - who am I kidding here, it’s positively Soviet - the first computer mouse was custom crafted for a purpose and did its job so well, it became the model for generations of mice to follow. Credit Douglas Engelbart for contriving this contraption from a block of wood, a couple of gear wheels and a shiny, candy-like red light/button that just begs to be pushed. By December of 1968, Englebart had cobbled up a three-button mouse suitable for demonstration before a bemused audience at the Fall Joint Computer Conference in San Francisco.
Xerox Copies , But at a Price

Englebart’s mouse was no one-trick pony, though it would be some time before the computer mouse made its way to home computers. The Xerox 8010 Information System debuted in 1981 and was one of the first commercial all-in-one computing systems to hit the market. Significantly, it included a mouse! Not that many 8010’s were sold, but then again, not that many home computer users had $16,595 to splurge back then.
Apple’s Small Wonder

Microsoft Makes a Mous

Microsoft one-upped the Apple Lisa by bringing the version of the IBM PC mouse to market in 1983. It featured two buttons - that’s the “one-upped” part - and retailed for $195 each. The price sounds shocking today but compared to the $400 three-button Hawley X063X from the Mouse House it seemed quite reasonable.

By the late 1980s, Logitech had emerged as the leading “alternative” peripherals provider. After first releasing a 3-button mouse in 1982, Logitech introduced the MouseMan Left, MouseMan Right and MouseMan Large in 1990. It then released the first wireless mouse, Logitech’s Cordless MouseMan, the very next year. As the first mouse without a tail, so to speak, the Cordless MouseMan used RF (radio frequency) technology which didn’t require line-of-sight alignment and was powered by a quartet of Ni-Cad batteries.

1995 brought us ProAgio, the first mouse with a built-in scroll wheel… or rather, Mouse Systems did. The Fremont, CA based company was ahead of its time but behind the 8-ball when it came to advertising. Here’s what Mouse Systems had to say about their great leap forward: “Surfing the Net has never been easier - with ProAgio ($49.99), the incredible five-button PC mouse. ProAgio is the latest wave in Web technology, with a scrolling roller that lets you zoom through Web pages without ever touching the scrollbar. It’s the Wheel Thing, Part 2

Mouse Systems made a good case for the scroll wheel but it wasn’t until Microsoft jumped on the bandwagon that things really began to scroll. In 1996, the first Microsoft Intellimouse was released featuring a third mouse button under the wheel. Curiously, an MS engineer named Eric Michelman claims to have originated the idea for the mouse scroll wheel in 1993, though it took some time to get Microsoft, a many-layered behemoth even then, behind the idea. Even odder, Microsoft didn’t file for a patent on the mouse wheel concept until 1999.
The Light at the End of the Mousehole

1999 was a pivotal year for mouse tech as a number of major manufacturers brought out versions of the optical mouse. Originally infrared LED based, optical mice would eventually go to laser tracking, with Logitech’s MX-1000 (above) leading the way. By the dawn of the new millenium, one could happily click away on a wireless, optical mouse that needed neither cleaning nor a dedicated mouse pad.

What’s next for the computer mouse? They seem to be at the peak of development so the next step may be fragmentation into a range of market niches. Tiny mice, gaming mice, mice that warm your hand, even a Heartbeat Indicator Mouse - these specialty mice are available now and more specialized versions are certainly in development. Others are in the concept stage, such as the I-Contact, a contact lens mouse. Eye caramba!

Actually it’s called the Jelly Click mouse; I’m sure Mickey has no trouble getting a date. We’ve now moved beyond futuristic to just plain weird, and the Jelly Click mouse is weirdness squared. To be fair, this mouse concept by designers Bongkun Shin, Heungkyo Seo, Jiwoong Hwang and Wooteik Lim could have some practical applications… such as, it’s safe for use poolside or its shape conforms to any hand.

Lung Cake

This is the rather unattractive (but healthy) looking lung cake. It is courtesy of armory.com.

Dead Crow

This cake would be perfect at a roadkill restaurant. I especially like the fact that they didn’t go overboard on the blood - it is just enough to know that the bird is not sleeping (well - that and its broken neck).

Decapitation Cake

A great cake for people who work in a saw mill - this is the decapitation cake. It was featured in a grossest cake bake-off.

Kitty Litter Cake

Here is a brief snippet: “I calculated that, between the cake, the French creams, and the bloody eyeball cordial cherries, I went through 15 pounds of granulated sugar, 2 bags of powdered sugar, 8 large bags of chocolate chips, 2 bottle of corn syrup, 8 pounds of dark chocolate, and 4 pounds of white chocolate. I have a slight tendency to go overboard with these things. We have a lot of eyeballs left over.”

According to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office, Marilyn was found dead in her found dead by her 17-year-old daughter, McKenna, at her home in Canyon Country on Sunday, April 12, at 9:05 p.m.

She was 56.

TRACY, Calif. - A Sunday school teacher has been arrested after an 8-year-old girl's body was found in a suitcase pulled from the water, NBC News reported Saturday.

Tracy police Sgt. Tony Sheneman told NBC News that Melissa Huckaby, 28, was held in connection with the kidnapping and murder of Sandra Cantu.

Sources say the suspect is 28-year-old Melissa Huckaby, a neighbor whose own daughter was one of Sandra’s playmates.

Huckaby has been charged with kidnapping and murder.

Earlier Friday, she had told reporters a suitcase had been stolen from her on March 27 -- the day Sandra disappeared. Sandra’s body was found stuffed into a suitcase and dumped in a farm pond.

Huckaby is the granddaughter of the pastor of a nearby church that was searched extensively Friday by police investigators.

Huckaby taught Sunday school at the church, according to The Associated Press.

Soon after that search, Huckaby drove herself to the police station, where she was questioned until early Saturday morning.

Cantu’s disappearance had left the city of Tracy on edge, wondering how a little girl could just vanish so close to home.

The last time her mother saw Sandra alive, Sandra was going outside to play with friends, and surveillance video taken in their trailer park showed Sandra happily skipping on the trailer park's grounds.

Sienna Miller Is Scared But Excited About Broadway Debut

NEW YORK (Reuters) -Sienna Miller is scared about making her Broadway debut in October but Sienna Miller said on Tuesday that treading the boards on the Great White Way is something she has always dreamed about.

The star of movies including "Alfie" and "The Edge of Love" will appear in the American premiere of Patrick Marber's play "After Miss Julie," which opens on Broadway on October 22 after a 2003 run at London's Donmar Warehouse.

"I'm scared obviously but really excited," Miller told Reuters in a joint interview with actor Peter Sarsgaard to promote their new movie "The Mysteries of Pittsburgh." "Patrick Marber is, I think, one of the most fantastic writers."

Sienna Miller's role is Miss Julie in Marber's version of August Strindberg's 1888 play about sex and class that sets it in an English country house on the eve of the Labor Party's historic landslide election in 1945.

"If you want to be an actress you think about opening on Broadway," said Miller, who begins rehearsals on August 20 and starts preview performances on September 18.

The 27-year-old actress, who attracts as much attention for her style and love life as she does her performances, has already debuted in London's West End, starring in Shakespeare's "As You Like It" in 2005.

"Aamir" director Rajkumar Gupta's next film is based on the sensational Jessica Lal murder and he approached Kareena Kapoor to play one of the two protagonists. But so far he hasn't been able to finalise anyone for the lead roles in "No One Killed Jessica".

"I did approach Kareena Kapoor initially to play one of the two protagonists. But nothing more can be said about the casting right now," Gupta told IANS.

Jessica Lal was gunned down in a New Delhi restaurant in April 1999. Manu Sharma, son of a former minister, is serving a life term for killing her.

"All I can say at this moment is that the film and its script which I've just completed is inspired by a headline that I saw in the Times Of India in 2006 which said, 'No One Killed Jessica' (when all the accused in the sensational case were acquitted). It immediately set me thinking. Over the years, as the case dragged on, that headline acquired immense ironical overtones," he added

"No One Killed Jessica" will need two leading female performers - one will play Jessica and the other will be cast as her sister Sabrina who fought for justice on Jessica's behalf.

The director, whose edgy hard-hitting drama "Aamir" earned rave reviews in 2007, intends to give the same gritty treatment to his second film as well.

Apart from "No One Killed Jessica", Gupta had also written the script of recently released "Barah Aana".

The actress has reportedly lost over 14lbs since she began working out with her Iron Man 2 co-star in preparation for the movie. A source told Star magazine: “The pair have been doing daily workouts with Gwyneth’s personal trainer TRACY ANDERSON.

“Scarlett is also staying away from carbohydrates.” The 24-year-old actress decided to diet, reportedly fearing she could lose out on the roles she wants to younger, more attractive actresses.

A friend said: “Scarlett has always been happy with her curves, but recently she has been feeling pressure to lose a few pounds. She knows that she is up against tough competition from younger, prettier and increasingly skinner actresses.”
